A Step-by-Step MOD5 Installation Guide

The MOD5 is designed in kit formation.

Your MOD5 will arrive on two pallets, marked A and B.

The 'A' section forms the front of the unit, and comprises of base, middle, and top components.

All filters, accessories and tools are provided.

The 'B' section forms the back of the unit, and comprises of base, middle, and top components.

Starting with a clean and level slab will facilitate a stable base for the MOD5 unit.

Building of the unit begins with laying the back/base unit and leveling the unit by adjusting the feet.

The front base is then siliconed and bolted to the back base. Level the unit by adjusting the feet.

Each hole will line up with a corresponding hole, these should be siliconed and bolted together.

Depending on the size of the unit, any additional pieces must be added on from the base upwards.

All base pieces must be built and leveled first, from back, to front. This base section would generally constitute the dirty air inlet to the system.

Once the base is built, we are now ready to begin building the middle section. This section is where the filters will eventually be installed.

Each and every adjoining flange must be liberally applied with silicone as provided.

The front middle section is the next piece of the puzzle.

Any additional units must be built in sequence from bottom to top.

Completion of the middle section.

The top section will begin from back, to front.

Top front section added.

Additional top unit added.

This top section will constitute the clean air outlet from the MOD5.

We have added the top and bottom spigots. The unit is now complete, and the only thing to do is add the filters. The inlet duct would be attached to the bottom spigot, and the fan to the top spigot.

The primary stage is to install the oil wet fiberglass pad into the holding frame, ensuring that the blue side faces to the top, and the white to the bottom.

Fasten the lid to the tray, by way of the attached clips.

Ensure that the gasket seal is on the back.

The finger holes on the front of the tray must face you.

Simply slide the primary tray into the unit.

Once the primary filters have been installed, the next step is installing the pocket filters.

A quick release clamp is provided. Please pull the lever to release the clamp.

Making sure the pockets are folded left over right,

slide the header section in between the slide rails. A word of caution:Try not to rip the material as you slide it in. Once the header is in place, push the two knobs in to secure thequick release clamp on the slide rail.

The last step is to hook the pocket filters onto their respective hooks. Each pocket will have a corresponding hook.

Finally, close the door, and the unit is ready.

Attach the incoming ducting to the bottom spigot, and the fan to the top spigot.

You are now ready for action!
